Lend the Label Rental Terms & Conditions

Yes, we’ve got some rules (because designer dresses deserve love). Don’t stress though — they’re simple, fair, and designed to keep you looking fabulous.


The Basics

When you hire a designer garment from Lend the Label, you agree to:
✨ Take care of it like it’s your own.
✨ Return it on time, in the same gorgeous condition you received it.

That’s it — no fine print nightmares here. Renting a stunning outfit really can be this easy.


Your Rental Agreement

  • Your booking is for a single-use hire — one dress, one event, one unforgettable look.

  • You get the dress for the period you booked. Once your hire time is up, it’s back to us.

  • If it’s late, lost, or damaged beyond normal wear and tear, charges apply (including replacement costs of up to 150% of retail value).

  • Lend the Label always remains the legal owner of the garment.


Our Promise to You

We’ll send out a dress that’s clean, fresh, and in great condition. If it arrives and something’s not right, please let us know within 3 hours of delivery. After that, any marks or damage are on you.

All dresses are professionally dry cleaned and ready-to-wear.


Damage & Extra Cleaning

  • Stains like makeup, fake tan, red wine, or cigarette burns may mean extra dry-cleaning fees.

  • If the dress is returned in unusable condition, you’ll be charged the full replacement fee.

  • Replacement values are set by Lend the Label and can be updated anytime.


Rental Fees & Payments

  • Rental fees are clearly listed on our website and charged at checkout.

  • By booking, you agree we can charge your card for rental, late fees, or damages if necessary.


Cancellations & Refunds

We understand that plans can change — however, due to the nature of garment rentals, our refund policy is as follows:

  • Changed your mind? Cancel within 48 hours of booking for a full refund with us.

  • Cancelling before your event? You’ll get store credit to use on another rental.

  • Last-minute cancellations 24 hours before order dispatch are non-refundable.

  • No refunds or credits will be given after the garment has been dispatched, for change of mind, if the garment is not worn, for incorrect sizing or fit.

If your garment arrives damaged, incorrect, or not as described, you must notify us within 3 hours of delivery. If the issue is verified, we will offer:

  • A replacement (if available), or
  • A full refund or store credit

Courier delays:
If your garment does not arrive in time for your event due to courier issues, you will receive a full refund of the rental fee.

Refund method:
Any approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method or issued as store credit, at our discretion.


Late Returns

  • If your garment isn’t dropped at the post shop by 2pm the next business day after your event:

    • A $50 late fee applies, plus $30 per extra day until returned.

    • After 20 days, we’ll charge the full retail price of the dress.

  • To keep it stress-free, we include a prepaid return courier bag with every rental.


Delivery

  • We ship using overnight tracked courier for speed and peace of mind.

  • While delays are rare, Lend the Label isn’t responsible for courier issues beyond our control. If your dress doesn’t arrive in time, you’ll receive a full refund.


Your Responsibility

Once your dress arrives, it’s in your care. Please make sure someone is available to receive it at your delivery address — we can’t be responsible for unattended parcels.


Final Word

We love dressing you up and making sure you feel amazing. Treat our garments with respect, return them on time, and we’ll always keep the wardrobe doors open for you.

If something goes wrong, we’ll work with you to sort it — but please don’t ghost us. Communication is key.
